I just found the comments
Ok, I'm new at the blog thing. I just found some lovely comments left for me by people from like 6, even 9 months ago. I'm sorry I didn't respond! I'm not a snob! I'm just a bit behind. I'll be better.

Juror #10
I got a summons to report for jury duty a couple of weeks ago. I didn't want to go but there was no way out of it. I don't know about anywhere else, but here in Los Angeles, you can't get out of it anymore. You HAVE to go down there.
I got picked to be on a jury. I was super bummed. I kept trying to think of things to say during jury selection to make the lawyers think I was a nut. But I couldn't think of anything. To make a long story short, after the trial got started, I loved it. I really did. The trial was about a restaurant owner (located just a few blocks from me it turns out) who was being sued by the person who owned the land the restaurant was on. We found in favor of the restaurant owner (defendant). Honestly, the land owner was evil. If we could have fined or punished the land owner, we would have but we didn't have that power. The jury was a wonderful mix of people from all walks of life. It was a great experience. If you get called to do jury duty, GO! It's fun. If you live in LA and want to know the name of the restaurant, write me and I'll tell you. I had never set foot in the restaurant before the trial, but I went after. It's a great place to eat and I'll keep going back. | ||
