I love November
It's been quiet around here but I like it. It gives me a chance to write and be under the rock I love so much at times. But I'm getting out from under my rock at the end of the month to play a solo show at Room 5. My friend, and excellent singer/songwriter, Lindsey Ray, will also be playing that night at 9. The food is good. The room is nice. They have an acoustic piano; which is a luxury in a bar. I'm looking forward to playing and singing and not worrying about plugging stuff in first. I'm going to talk Rob into joining me on 2 or 3 songs and playing accordion or ukulele or something. Maybe he'll rock the glock. But still, there will be no plugging in of loud instruments on this night -- a lovely change of pace for us. We rocked hard this year from February until September. It's time for something a little different. Of course, we will rock again.
I'm loving the cooler weather. We even had a little rain, which is great in LA. We always need rain. Rain and cold weather make me want to bake pumpkin pies.
I hope you're having a great November and if you live in LA, come out on the 27th. :-)
