I'm no Scrooge.

This was the first weekend in about a year and a half that I didn't work on the album. I finally had some time to do a couple things I've been putting off - like taking down the Christmas lights. From 2004. Some friends had even dropped some not-so-subtle hints about it. Yeah, I know it's March 2006 but I hadn't turned them on since February so cut me some slack. Besides, the lights make me happy. The ones in the backyard are staying up.

But Beth, are they of the twinkling colorful variety or a muted white? If they are a solid unabashedly bold blue, then I'd be so impressed. Yes, the lights say alot about us (as may the date we take them down, ha ha). I am determined to get my hands on those little lighted candy canes by next November.....

Hi Beth!!! Let me tell you, all that time, all those weekends working on the album were well worth it, what great songs!!!! Don't mind the xmas lights, lots of people leave them on and they're not busy like you, I myself leave them on for quite a while!!! I just heard your Mr Lovely song in a Podcast (yes, thanks for making it podsafe) and what a song it is, so I went to check on more and BANG, I'm a FAN!!! Such good stuff, like Done or I Will Lie from your first album and I still haven't heard most of it yet, so I'm sure I'm in for a few more good surprises. Also I'm surprised to see that you have no comments in your blog yet... Am I really the first or am I in the wrong place???!!! If so, I'm delighted to be the first (what an honour) to congratulate you on your work through the comments area!!!! Maybe this will encourage you to write a bit more here too?? As I see no update since last month... too busy again, promoting the album now? Well, I wish you plenty of success, u should hit the tops, cause sincerely this is some of the best things I've heard in a while, maybe then you would do some shows here on the other side of the ocean.
Well, as they say here where I am now, "Veel Success"!!
Miguel
